About Martha

Martha has over 17 years of dedicated training and practice in mind/body and energy healing arts. Her work is rooted in a deep respect for both traditional wisdom teachings and modern nervous system science. At the heart of her approach is the understanding that we are part of nature and the body itself naturally holds experience, memory, and intelligence and healing unfolds through awareness, rhythm, and compassionate attention.

An E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance, she received her 250-hour certification studying Ashtanga Yoga with Jeff Tiebout and completed the 250-hour Natural Yoga Teacher Training at Satsang Yoga in Charleston, South Carolina, under the mentorship of master Jivamukti teachers Andrea and Jeffrey Cohen.

Her extensive breathwork training was completed with Barratt Breath Institute founder Kathleen Barratt, where she became a Restorative Breathwork® Advanced Facilitator. Studies in Bioenergy with founders Mietek and Margaret Wirkus led to a Bioenergy Master Certificate. She also completed Shakti School with Katie Silcox, supported by highly regarded Ayurvedic teachers including Mary Thompson, formerly of the California College of Ayurveda.

A desire to bring natural rhythmic living back into modern culture led her to Yoga Health Coaching, where she trained with Cate Stillman and a pioneering community devoted to guiding individuals and dynamic groups toward sustainable transformation.

She is also a Certified Practitioner of Havening Techniques®, a gentle, neuroscience-based modality that supports the resolution of stress and trauma patterns held in the nervous system.

In 2025, she graduated from the Novato Institute for Somatic Research and Training as a Clinical Hanna Somatics Practitioner. This training deepened her focus on neuromuscular re-education and the role of the nervous system in chronic tension, pain, and stress — helping clients rediscover freedom, adaptability, and ease in their bodies.

Deep gratitude is held for the teachers, mentors, and lineages that have shaped this path. The work offered today is a continuation of their dedication and generosity, carried forward with humility, respect, and ongoing devotion to learning.
